How to Do It

What will you find here? We’re growing (organically) resources, guides, links and more that have local importance but may prove valuable or interesting to anyone. It can all be pretty dizzying, so give Colorado’s eBook Manifesto a quick read.

Publishers Willing to Sell E-content

The Douglas County Experiment / Model - Where publishers are partners and the library helps drive sales while patrons continue to be served up great content.

Marmot Library Network Approach – Having formed an Ebook Task Force, this group of libraries is actively implementing solutions.

AspenCat eBooks – An experimental 3M eBook collection shared by participating Colorado Libraries.  The collection already has nearly 1,000 titles. Another 1,000-2,000 additional titles are expected to be purchased each year. The 3M system offers competitive pricing, including low administration fees, as well as a streamlined download process.  The collection draws from a variety of publishers, large and small including Random House and HarperCollins.

Technical / Technology Informationdetails from Douglas County Libraries, Marmot Library Network and others sharing their work.
